FERNE NÄHE BEWEGUNG (UA)
with ENSEMBLE MOSAIK
Ten young composers embark on a joint search for the interaction between sound and space in a Baroque garden. Everything remains in motion: the sounds themselves and also the individuals listening to these sounds. There are no fixed locations and no fixed route: the space remains expansive and its borders gradually become diffuse when twilight falls. The old concept of comprehending art as a personal statement also loses its footing here. The artists’ compositions appear to be interwoven into a supra-individual cooperative work. This literally boundless and exciting exploration is curated by Oliver Schneller and Rebecca Saunders, both professors of composition at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hanover.
